Erm so yeah...
The paper was definitely something. Don't know if it was something good though.
00:00 - 00:03 | Chemistry paper 2 is finally here and will be due to start soon, |
00:04 - 00:05 | we've revised the whole of organic chemistry twice, |
00:05 - 00:07 | along with NPK fertilisers and rates of reaction. |
00:08 - 00:12 | We've also put less priority in resources, knowing it came up a lot last year |
00:12 - 00:15 | and so we are confident this paper will contain everything we covered. |
00:17 - 00:19 | If it's majority organic chemistry |
00:19 - 00:21 | then this paper will be a breeze. |
00:24 - 00:26 | My Fuhrer... |
00:27 - 00:28 | Steiner... |
00:31 - 00:33 | There was only one question on organic chemistry, and half of it was drawing circles |
00:34 - 00:36 | they even asked about composites. |
00:53 - 00:58 | Everybody who wished for no organic chemistry, please leave the room. |
01:13 - 01:15 | What the hell was that? |
01:15 - 01:17 | One question on organic chemistry, and it barely even was a question |
01:18 - 01:23 | we revised hydrogenation, hydration: phosphoric acid catalysts, nickel catalysts |
01:25 - 01:28 | anything on those, but they decide to ask about composites! |
01:29 - 01:31 | Composites? Since when did anyone care about those?? |
01:31 - 01:34 | I would expect to see at least more than 3 marks on the longest topic in the spec |
01:34 - 01:37 | but somehow chromatography took up two times more marks |
01:37 - 01:40 | while the entire topic could never even be longer than 10 small points! |
01:40 - 01:42 | My fuhrer, at least there were some questions on chemical analysis |
01:42 - 01:46 | and none of that could make up for that useless 6 marker on waste water |
01:46 - 01:48 | My fuhrer, everyone else also got 5.83 x 10^-4 on the mole question though |
01:48 - 01:52 | it doesn't matter, when i could barely be bothered to finish the paper after that |
01:53 - 01:54 | only one question!! |
01:56 - 01:57 | i watched the freesciencelessons playlist, |
01:57 - 02:00 | thinking that at least one question on reactions with alkenes would come up |
02:00 - 02:03 | but instead we got bloody LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENTS |
02:04 - 02:08 | as if anybody would even think twice about buying a bamboo bike! |
02:08 - 02:13 | do i look like greta thunberg to be analysing the environmental impact of bamboo bikes? |
02:14 - 02:16 | i'm tired of all these questions on resources |
02:17 - 02:21 | just when i thought they've finally had enough with resource questions, it comes up another time |
02:27 - 02:29 | at least i think i did okay on those maths questions. |
02:30 - 02:34 | whatever happens in life i know maths will always be there for me |
02:34 - 02:36 | even if i have to write a 6 marker on the most boring topics known to man |
02:41 - 02:42 | one question, |
02:43 - 02:47 | one question and it couldn't have even been on anything more interesting, like formation of esters |
02:48 - 02:53 | if a-levels are anything like this i don't even want to think about what the future would hold. |
02:54 - 02:56 | the most boring topic in the entire spec |
02:56 - 02:59 | but it had to take up the majority of the paper |
03:00 - 03:02 | because apparently it was too much to pick some other topic for once! |
03:04 - 03:07 | It's okay, at least you're not doing edexcel maths |
03:14 - 03:16 | Paper 1 chemistry was alright at least. |
03:19 - 03:23 | And they could've asked about borosilicate glass instead |
03:25 - 03:26 | thank goodness they didn't. |
03:31 - 03:33 | now, we focus on physics. |
03:40 - 03:46 | but if i ever hear about fertilisers or sewage again in A-Level, I will walk up to AQA headquarters |
03:46 - 03:49 | and it will be the last time anyone hears of them again |
03:53 - 03:56 | what's done has been done. |
