Funny but all too true. Watched this play out in the Dakotas and now Saskatchewan. Their play book is always the same: portray nonresident hunters as something bad that needs to be regulated. The end result is outfitters come in and lock everything up so no one gets to hunt for free. Don't have a thousand dollars per person per day? No hunt for you!

00:05 - 00:07Saskatchewan and Alberta
00:08 - 00:12passed laws blocking US freelance hunters.
00:12 - 00:15Outfitters control Canadian politicians.
00:17 - 00:19We have the Dakotas
00:19 - 00:21locked up too.

00:53 - 00:58Outfitters operating in Mexico leave the room.
01:13 - 01:15I ordered a total monopoly
01:15 - 01:17from Saskatchewan to Arkansas!
01:18 - 01:23What do you mean they still encourage freelancers?
01:25 - 01:28I lobbied the state conservation board.
01:29 - 01:31I spend millions leasing the
01:31 - 01:34nesting grounds in the pothole prairie region!
01:34 - 01:37I built a continental empire of
01:37 - 01:40heated pit blinds and luxury duck palaces!
01:40 - 01:42Mein Führer... North America is too vast.
01:42 - 01:46I own the ducks and geese!
01:46 - 01:48They argue birds belong to the public.
01:48 - 01:52The public trust is a relic of the past!
01:53 - 01:54This is a modern industry!
01:56 - 01:57The birds feed on my land!
01:57 - 02:00They rest on my private sanctuaries!

02:14 - 02:16Freelancers ruin the market.
02:17 - 02:21We buy up the land and stack the birds thick...
02:27 - 02:29I don't care how long they've come.
02:30 - 02:34I don't care about their grandfather's tradition
02:34 - 02:36Knock on a farmer's door.

02:48 - 02:53I want non-resident restrictions
02:54 - 02:56so strict that a guy from Ohio
02:56 - 02:59can’t even look at a mallard in Saskatchewan
03:00 - 03:02without paying a guide!
03:04 - 03:07Huntresses still get sponsors.
03:14 - 03:16We tell the public
03:19 - 03:23these regulations will improve hunting for everyone.
03:25 - 03:26That we will pass
03:31 - 03:33regulations on ourselves too.
03:40 - 03:46We won't. If a freelance hunter wants to shoot a duck in North America
